About the job: We are expanding our Hamilton Team.
As our new Customer Service person your job is to provide amazing service to our customers both on the phone and face to face in the branch. You'll be selling our full range of products which includes pumps, hoses, fittings and connectors. The role is based at Frankton branch in Hamilton and work hours are Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings are on a shared roster. (1/2 day Saturday once per month)
There are three essential factors to this role:
- Looking after our customers so they keep coming back
- Administration / operations – inwards & outwards goods, stock, ordering, invoicing,
- A little bit of work in the warehouse or helping to make up hoses when it's busy.
We are prepared to invest in the right people to grow with us and a job like this can lead to more senior or management roles over time so this is a great job if you want to learn more about our industry and general management.
About you:
You'll need some sales or service experience and have very good communication skills in English. Your attention to detail must be excellent. Ideally, you be technically minded and able to learn and retain information about the products so you can become a trusted advisor for your clients. You will need the IT skills to learn and use the computer system and some experience with warehouse or stock management would be helpful.
It can get really busy here in our Hamilton branch and your role is busy with lots of things to take care of, so you will need to able to handle pressure and still keep delivering fantastic service no matter what.
It's important that you are physically fit and able to lift up to 20 kg's and also be capable of cutting and making up hoses and connectors. You'll need to be ok to work in a manufacturing environment; it can get a bit dirty, dusty and noisy at times.
It's essential that you are a 100% reliable and work well in a team. A clean driver's licence is also essential.
Above all else, you have to be able to put your customers first and want to give amazing service with every point of contact. If you don't have specific experience in our industry, we can train you in our product range.
