About the role:
Fulton Hogan is currently experiencing a rapid growth phase, with a lot of new projects and staffing requirements in the pipeline.
As a result, we are in the hunt for a Health and Safety Advisor to join our team as soon as possible.
This role is responsible for:
- Delivering presentations to daily Tool Box Meetings and monthly Divisional Meetings on Health and Safety matters
- Perform daily inspections on assigned sites or business units to ensure they continue to be compliant under the Health and Safety Act
- Carrying out investigations as required
- Instigate Wellbeing Programs for staff as required
- Reporting
- Auditing
- Developing and implementing new methods for improving health and safety awareness across the business
- Build relationships with people at all levels of the business with the aim of growing a Zero Harm working environment
- Build relationships with clients to ensure good communication and collaboration
Skills and Experience Required:
- Confident communication skills
- Prior experience of managing Drainage and Waste Water work sites from a HSE perspective (ideal)
- A background in the construction/civil contracting industry (ideal)
- 8 – 10 years’ worth of experience in a similar Health and Safety Advisory role (necessary experience)
- A Diploma in Health and Safety from a recognised tertiary institution
- Strong conflict resolution skills and personal resilience
- A full, clean Class 1 New Zealand Driving Licence
- A high level of personal health and fitness
