Role Description

These are 12 month Fixed term roles based in Central Wellington.

Senior Test Analysts at FNZ are all-rounder’s who may be called upon work on projects or supporting our production platforms.

Our Senior Test Analysts are involved with all aspects of testing from the more technical skills including test automation, database manipulation and XML injection testing to functional specification testing and supporting UAT.

Senior Test Analysts may be members of a large project or be part of a small test team and may be required to lead releases/projects.

Our Senior Test Analysts work closely with Clients, Business Analysts, Developers and our Operations staff to support the delivery of world class software.

They are expected to understand our application, our business and the industry we operate in as well the range of test tools and methodologies we use to support our business.

Experience required

• Passion for testing and advanced testing as an engineering discipline
• Good design and test skills, passion for quality and attention to details
• SQL knowledge mandatory
• Basic understanding of C# or prior Test Automation experience
• Knowledge in the use of Testing Tools (JIRA, XRay, SOAP UI)
• Proven knowledge of IT testing and system development lifecycles and methodologies including both Agile and Waterfall SDLC;
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Ability to work effectively and to prioritise own and teams workload;
• The ability to work independently and in small teams, partner effectively cross-group, and manage multiple priorities and deliverables concurrently
• Strong spirit of innovation, self-starter, independent, and with ability to come up with comprehensive test cases
• Propensity toward improving own and others performance and achievement of objectives
• Good communication skills with developers/Business Analysts and Clients (when required)
