What you'll bring to the role
Our Senior Systems Engineers aren't your regular Engineers, they are technical gurus, who will know their client's sites inside and out, build strong internal & external relationships, manage large projects, and mentor our junior Engineers. Our Senior Systems Engineers have a combination of high level technical expertise, and high level soft skills. You must be approachable, willing to help and dedicated to sharing your knowledge.
Experience you'll need
10+ years Minimum experience in IT Engineering, with 3 years' minimum in a Senior role.
You'll need the following experience to qualify for this role;
- Design and implementation experience in enterprise infrastructure
- Cloud migration experience
- Mentoring junior engineers
- Exceptional documentation skills
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
- Project management skills and experience
- Good networking knowledge with a focus on Wintel stack
- Preferable to have MSP experience
- IP Telephony and switching
- VMWare experience
- Solid Microsoft Licensing knowledge
- Microsoft Office365 deployment
- High level desktop support; Windows 7, 8 &10, Mac OSX, Printer, Automated Desktop builds
- Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016; backup technologies, active directory, DNS, DHCP, Small Business Server, MS Exchange, Terminal Services
- Firewall administration
