Geeks on Wheels provide mobile computer support across the greater Wellington region. We currently have an opening for a mobile PC technician to become part of our professional and friendly team of 'Geeks'. We have strong growth plans for 2018 and beyond and are seeking hungry people that want to grow with us

No formal IT qualifications … No problems. Whether your skills were gained through a university degree or by just helping out your mum and dad on the weekends, we want to talk to you! We value self-taught knowledge just as much as letters after your name so don’t worry because we will train you. So, if you're good with people, have been building PC's for as long as you can remember, and are secretly itching to start your career in IT we'd love to hear from you.

Life as a mobile PC technician is interesting and varied, and no two days are the same. You will get to meet and help different people from different walks of life while working as part of an amazing team. You will help interpret “tech” for our customers and help them achieve a better result from their technology. As a “Geek” you will become a trusted advisor to our customers while tackling a diverse range of computer problems including

• Software/hardware troubleshooting on PC and/or Apple Mac
• Installing and maintaining small business and home networks
• Removal of nasty viruses and malware and optimising internet, wifi and email technologies
• Computer rebuilds and system clean-ups as well as providing recommendations on technology based on our customers’ needs

Working hours are based on a flexible 40-hour week attending appointments from Monday to Saturday inclusive. Base salary is negotiable depending on experience, plus there is a bonus incentive scheme.

A full New Zealand driver's licence is absolutely essential! Company vehicle, mobile phone & tools of the trade are provided.
