Looking for a rock star!

• You’ve been a developer. Maybe you still are. Or maybe you’re already managing a development team. Your development skills are nothing short of awesome. People come to you when they have problems. You mentor others. You set the standard. But it never quite feels enough.
• We are a development team of around 60 people, about half of which are developers. Most of what we do is Scrum. Our development stack is Microsoft-centric. Cloud is our native DNA. As we continue to grow, we need someone to lead our developers and set the new standard. We want to innovate and shake up app development. We want to do it differently. We want to do it better. And we want you to lead the way.
• But let’s be clear – this won’t be easy. You’ll need to quickly get the respect of some very good developers. You’ll need to define the standards, tools, systems and processes. All whilst continuing to deliver our current contracted business. You’ll need to have one eye to the future, with one hand on the wheel keeping the ship steady at the same time.
• If you’ve got the skills, the rewards are an opportunity to lead and define a development capability the way you think it should be done. These opportunities don’t come along very often.

YOU WILL BRING:

• Microsoft .NET Solution subject matter expert with knowledge of Microsoft's .NET strategies.
• Over 3+ years of experience of building apps in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience of a range of Software Development Methodologies including emerging techniques especially in producing Detailed Design.(RUP preferred)
• A high standard of technical documentation: Architecture and development artefacts.
• Knowledge of industry direction and paradigms including SOA.
• Experience working with APIs and API Management Platforms. Mulesoft and/or Google Apigee are a significant plus.
• A working knowledge of microservices architecture is a significant plus.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
