Fixed Term - 18 months

It is an exciting time here at Whangarei District Council as our district continues to grow and we are continuously working to strengthen our strategic partnerships and enhance service provision to our community.

To support the work we’ve been doing around enhancing our information management we are looking at engaging an Information Analyst for an 18 month fixed term contract. This person will assist in ensuring the quality, compliance and integrity of the information held across all WDC information systems is balanced with the operational business needs and user experience. This will involve contributing to the review of our ECM environment and formulation of information management strategies and roadmap.

Combined with this will be the requirement to develop a training programme aimed at increasing utilisation of Information Management tools and promoting best practice through collaboration with key stakeholders, identifying and responding to their information management needs.

If you would like to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following attributes:

• Tertiary level qualification or equivalent experience in Information Management
• Experience in Public Records Act 2005 and supporting standards compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong ability to analyse and interpret business requirements and build options around them
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated experience working across business units
• Experience in a SharePoint environment at an administrative level
• Ability to develop strong working relationships across the business that aid effective collaboration
• Commitment to quality outcomes
• Committed to achieving results and successfully managing multiple demands
• Experience in the delivery of training 
• Ability to deliver pragmatic solutions.
