Help us build New Zealand! Know who PlaceMakers and Mico Plumbing are? Yep, that’s us – Fletcher Distribution. The division employs over 3,000 people through more than 130 branches and sites across New Zealand.
We are looking for a Designer/Mac Operator to work with our creative team to continue to develop our brand presence and marketing collateral.
Based in our national office in Penrose and reporting to the Senior Designer, you will be working on creating new design concepts, graphics, and layouts for both digital and print marketing.
You will have solid graphic design experience within multiple channels and a strong design portfolio that demonstrates diversity of design and skill. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator are essential, with skills in the MS Office Suite an added bonus. Experience in video editing software like Premier Pro and HTML5 creation software like Google Web Designer would be an advantage.
Ideally having both in-house and agency experience, we are after someone who can cope with pressure in the creative environment and keep a positive attitude. Your ability to work under time pressure in order to meet strict timelines is essential. You will need to be great at prioritising your workload, whilst maintaining versatility and flexibility. You will have a willing and proactive approach to produce fresh, crisp designs with ease as well as the ability to problem solve and evaluate alternative design options.
You will pride yourself in coming up with smart and innovative solutions to produce great work. You will have key attention to detail and be meticulous in everything you do – able to follow and understand brand guidelines closely but still use your own creative design flair.
