Orphans Aid International (OAI) is a Charitable Trust that was founded in New Zealand in 2004 and is headquartered in Queenstown. OAI supports orphanage projects  in Romania, Russia, India, Bhutan and Uganda, and provides aid to projects that lift the world’s most vulnerable children out of hopeless situations.
  
The Accounts & Office Administrator is a part time role for around 30 hours per week, which can be done across four or five days. You will be part of a lively team based in the Queenstown head office, and will be responsible for some of the back-office administrative tasks that support the organisation, it’s shops and its overseas projects.
  
This will include the daily processing of bank data, receipting and corresponding with donors, processing accounts payable and receivable, preparing GST and doing monthly reporting through Xero. You will also be maintaining information on the Fundraiser software programme, assisting with database mail-outs, answering phone enquiries, and providing cover in the fundraising shop and other office functions as required.
  
The key requirements for this role include:
  • Accounts/book-keeping knowledge
  • Xero experience
  • Excellent organization, communication and customer service skills – a must!
  • A team player who can contribute to a great positive work environment
  • IT skills – an advantage but not essential
Most of all, this role would ideally suit an experienced accounts and office administrator who has a heart and passion for the orphaned and those in poverty.
