The position

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual who will bring passion, enthusiasm and to support our property assessing team. This role is pivotal in the team’s success by providing efficient administration and coordination of our property insurance claims and the allocation of work to our assessors. Reporting to our Operations Manager – General Insurance Claims, this role is essential in ensuring our clients, customers and suppliers receive the very best of care and service.

We are looking for someone who loves to work as part of a team, is reliable, punctual and has a friendly and engaging personal style.  To be successful in this role you will need a strong focus on attention to detail and delivery of agreed tasks, as well as being customer focussed. 

You will need to be able to commit to 37.5 hours per week for a contracted period of six months.  There is a potential for this assignment to extended or be made permanent dependant on our business needs.  Each day will be varied, fast-paced environment, bustling with people and projects and challenges.

In this role, you will make an impact by:

  • Coordinating and booking of our property assessors’ daily work/job allocations

  • Actively managing and monitoring our property claims inbox and ensuring correspondence is processed and actioned in a timely manner and with a high level of accuracy

  • Uploading and updating details into our claims database

  • Providing great administration and service in relation to property claims to our internal key stakeholders

What we are looking for:

  • Ideally you will have at least 2 years working experience in claims administration or claims management within the insurance industry

  • Confident communicator, both verbal and written.  You are the type of person who will pick up the phone and doesn't hide behind emails.  A relationship builder! 

  • Great time management where you can demonstrate you can juggle multiple priorities with ease

  • A team player - you'll be part of a tight and diverse team who support and mentor you 

  • Confident computer user - you'll be using different systems to gather and enter information

  • Enthusiasm and initiative, with the willingness to contribute to a dynamic, professional and positive team environment.
