The Financial Strategy and Modelling team is responsible for leading financial strategy and planning that supports the organisation's Strategy. This is achieved through financial analysis of the organisation's capability portfolio and strategic financial modelling to enable a long-term view of the organisation’s position.
As the Senior Manager Modelling & Costing you will be responsible for the long-term plan of the organisation, ensuring alignment between the underpinning assumptions and resulting financials, from short to long term planning horizons and major strategic initiatives.
Key knowledge and skills include:
- Specialist knowledge of relevant internal and external standards, principles, policies, systems and processes, procedures, guidelines, practice and regulations
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of management accounting and financial management principles and practices
- Proven quantitative and qualitative analytical and evaluative skills, incorporating problem solving, decision making and creative thinking at a senior level.
- Demonstrated experience in programme management and supporting transformational change programmes, including the ability to mentor and develop others
The key focus of the role is the medium to long-term planning horizon, complemented by a detailed understanding of the 0-4-year environment. This is achieved through a deep understanding of the organisations strategy and the provision of accurate and relevant analysis of the organisation’s capability portfolio and strategic modelling to enable a long-term view of the organisations financial position.
You will be the subject matter expert and a key influencer on the stakeholders to encourage their understanding and buy-in of proposed initiatives.
