Westbury Stud is one of New Zealand's leading thoroughbred studs. Each season we prepare over 100 yearlings for sale, and send 70 yearlings to the breakers to join the racing team. We run a big operation and require excellent people to join the team.
We currently looking for seasonal employees in our Karaka Farm. You will be assisting with Broodmares, Weanlings and Yearlings. The work is varied, especially in the breeding & Yearling prep season and people with a flexible attitude are very much appreciated.
Previous equine experience or thoroughbred experience essential. Stud work experience required.
You must be able to think for yourself, be confident around horses, have previous experience with weanlings and yearlings, and have a conversational command of English language, but most of all have a passion for the thoroughbred industry. You must have experience handling big horses!
- Salary dependent on experience.
