40 hours per week
CCS Disability Action is a community based service provider for disabled people and their families and whanau.
If you have energy, vision and a strong belief in people with disabilities leading full and valued lives in our community, this role could suit you.
This position involves working with disabled adults, and young adults offering support, information and advocacy towards each person’s vocational goals (Paid employment, education, work-experience and community participation opportunities).
Ideally the successful applicant will have:
- Proven advocacy and planning skills
- An ability to form positive relationships and networks
- Great communication skills, both oral and written including report writing
- Experience in current disability issues
- Sound organisational and computer ability incl. MS Office
- A creative streak and be able to think laterally
- Previous experience or tertiary training
- Drivers licence
- Experience in or around the employment and/or education sector would be a huge bonus.
This position is based in our Tauranga office; with regular travel within the wider Bay of Plenty Region anticipated. This opportunity is part of a dynamic team who share a genuine belief in human rights and active communities.
