Pact is currently looking for a full-time (80hrs per fortnight) fixed term (for 12 months), permanent flexible Community Support Worker – Mental Health in the Hutt Valley area.

Our passionate staff, work with people recovering from mental illness or addiction or people living with intellectual disabilities.

Pact is looking for enthusiastic and energetic person to work alongside people recovering from mental illness who will inspire, encourage and role model, plus have excellent interpersonal skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.

In this role the priority will be to ensure clients’ community participation and personal goal achievement. This will involve supporting clients with daily house tasks and assisting them with personal hygiene to help them to achieve maximum independence.

This role requires flexibility, which will involve working between Pact’s Mental Health Services. As we are 24/7 operations hours of work will include day, evening, weekend, awake and sleepover shifts.

It is expected this role will last 12 months dependent on staff members returning from leave.

  • A full driver’s licence and computer skills are essential
  • Will require experience working in a mental health setting
  • If on a work visa, this must be valid for at least twelve months
  • Available for an interview in Lower Hutt if successfully shortlisted
