Community Support Worker - Nelson - Part-time
Kia ora!
I am a gentleman with a physical disability living in Nelson. I live in my own home and I am looking for a dedicated support worker who can help me out with my day to day living.
Let's talk about you.
I need a support worker who understands the needs of people with spinal cord injury, someone with empathy who truly cares. You'll identify with my needs, treat me with dignity and respect, and support me with my independence. Also important to me is a clear understanding about professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
Keen to help me out?
Sometimes this type of work can be a challenge, but the good times make up for it! You'll need to be physically fit, flexible and reliable.
You will support me not only by looking after my personal needs but also by maintaining a clean and tidy home environment which is important to me.
I need support workers available to work part time rostered shifts: 7am - 3pm, 3pm-11pm sleepover from 11pm to 7am.
Must be available once a fortnight on weekends.
And hey - it doesn't matter if you don't have a lot of experience in this type of work. If you've got the right values and attitude towards life and like learning new skills, we'll get on well!
Depending on your current level of qualification, you would be offered a starting rate of $19.80 per hour, with the opportunity to progress once you have completed our fully funded NZQA training and qualifications.
