Hay Park School is looking for a friendly, organised and flexible learning assistant (teacher aide) to join our team until the end of the school year. We are a small, community-focussed Year 1-6 primary school with a big heart, situated in Mt Roskill.
The position is fixed term, working 9.00am-3.00pm, Monday to Friday in term time only, until 14 December 2018. The position involves working with literacy groups, and supporting an autistic boy and learning in junior classes.
The successful applicant will:

be able to understand and work with children who have specific learning differences

work in partnership with teachers and other professionals

be willing to take on new tasks and training as required

enjoy interacting with children, parents and our wider community

be police vetted (under the requirements of the Vulnerable Children's Act)
