Life Education Trust is embarking on an exciting period, setting our sights on being a leading education provider in NZ. We're working with the best advisors to ensure we're at the forefront of education in NZ, and so we're looking for a motivated, innovative and talented teacher to be part of this journey.

As the local face of Life Education, your ability to build relationships with local schools and understand them as the customer will be key to successfully meeting their needs and ultimately assist with their children's learning.

You will also have strong organisational skills, enabling you to plan each term in advance, maximise your teaching time and achieve our goal of reaching every child, every year.

The successful applicant will be a qualified teacher, with full registration and a current practicing certificate and be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of the NZ curriculum. It is advantageous if the applicant has work experience outside the classroom and education sector to help demonstrate relationship management skills and practices working with a regular client base. But above all, we're looking for a passionate teacher who wants to make a difference to the children in Gisborne, East Coast and Wairoa.

You'll work with a group of local volunteers to set and achieve annual goals. You'll love a challenge and the rewards that come with working in a not for profit environment where your contribution and success is easily seen.

"Working for Life Education is a unique opportunity for quality teachers to hone their skills, learn motivating practices and develop their knowledge in a different teaching and learning environment."

"The investment in my development such as Inquiry Learning, Teaching as Inquiry, Effective Planning, and creating a professional portfolio  has been invaluable and I am definitely going to take the many skills that I have learnt, back with me into the school classroom.  I have learnt so much and I honestly believe that had I not had these opportunities, I would not have been offered a job in a management role at a school, one I visited regularly as a Life Ed Educator."

Jess Spencer, Auckland Educator 2007-15.

After being in New Zealand for more than 25 years and teaching 250,000 children a year, chances are you already know us, don't let the chance to work for us slip by!
