L3 CTS Airline Academy is at the global forefront of airline pilot training, supplying the next generation of Captains and Co-Pilots to our many airline relationships. We deliver training in five purpose-built centers across the world in next-generation simulators and aircraft. Equally as important, we provide airline placement for our graduates with our airline relationships.
About the role
We are now seeking full-time Theoretical Knowledge Instructors (TKI) to join our Theoretical Knowledge team at our training Centre at Hamilton Airport, New Zealand. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of industry leading instructors that provide high quality ground school lessons to ensure our graduates transition seamlessly into airline operations.
The Theoretical Knowledge Instructor role involves undertaking comprehensive responsibilities, in particular the delivery of approved ground school training syllabi at ATPL level. The TKI is required to deliver ground school training syllabi in compliance with primarily EASA Regulations, and NZCAR Parts 61, 91, and 141 as required.
This is a role full of variety, working within a professional flight training environment in a desirable location. Working 40 hours, predominantly Monday – Friday, this is a great opportunity to progress your career in the aviation industry, whist maintaining a great work/life balance.
Skills and experience
We are looking for passionate individuals who have a background in the aviation industry and significant experience in teaching aviation theory subjects. To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the following requirements:
Essential:
- Hold a CPL with Multi Engine Instrument Rating.
- Hold exams passes in all of the NZ CAA or EASA ATPL exams, or ATPL’s of an alternative reputable aviation authority.
- Alternatively other recognised aviation qualifications will be considered e.g. LAME.
- A minimum of 2 years teaching aviation (or comparable) theory subjects.
Preferred:
- Hold a CPL with either a NZ or EASA Flight Instructor Rating.
- Prior teaching experience at an ATPL level.
- Relevant Instructional experience and/or experience in airline or military training or check and training roles.
