Mt Albert Kindergarten is currently looking for a permanent, part time (31.25 hours per week), qualified and registered ECE teacher with a minimum of two years ECE experience.
Our kindergarten provides an inviting, stimulating and challenging learning environment which inspires children to explore their interests and nurture their love of learning. Our dedicated teaching team work alongside children to enhance teachable moments and foster capable and confident lifelong learners. Our kindergarten is a reflection of the rich cultural diversity of the local community, which is embraced, supported and celebrated.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about children's learning and supporting every child to realise their full potential. You will have an interest in working within a diverse community, ensuring our children and their whanau feel a sense of belonging and forging strong connections with the local community. You must have an extensive knowledge of Te Whāriki, programme planning, assessment and internal review processes, as well as articulating your teaching practice through children's learning stories. You will share the organisation's commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and bicultural practice whilst embracing the rich cultural diversity and specific needs of our tāmariki through your open and inclusive teaching practice. Strength in using ICT as a teaching tool is essential, and it would be ideal if you have an interest in music, dance or drama which you will be able to weave in to your practice and learning experiences for children. The ability to speak another language, particularly Mandarin, would be an added bonus.
