Here is a fantastic opportunity for a Learning & Development Assessor Trainer to join our established and busy Learning and Development team.

The Person:

We are looking for a Learning and Development Assessor who has passion and vision. The role is primarily to coordinate and support the delivery of learning and development by providing accurate advice and support to all necessary stakeholders. The Assessor will have the ability to implement change and create new ideas for improvement and growth through a collaborative approach with the operations team. Having a sound knowledge of adult learning and (ITO) Industry Training Organisation processes would be an advantage.

The Job:

This role is challenging and rewarding and it’s up to the Assessor to make the most of each day. Being a skilled communicator, the Assessor is responsible for the assessment of both level 2 and 3 unit standards and the development, delivery and monitoring of our employee’s learning & development, across the organisation.  The Assessor will work closely with senior managers and team leaders while building meaningful relationships with staff by providing learning support and resources that enhance learning, understanding and the transfer of skills and knowledge. This role involves travelling throughout the central and lower North Island and may require the delivery of programmes outside the ‘normal’ days and hours of work.

The Skills:

This position would suit someone who has experience with adult learning and preferably has an understanding of the health industry however, this is not essential. 

  • Have NZQA Assessor unit standards – 4098/11281/18203 or willing to work towards timeframe.
  • Relevant health and disability (mental health/intellectual disability) qualifications or equivalent experience (preferable, not essential).
  • A high level of computer literacy.
  • Experience in learning and development, and knowledge-sharing techniques.    
  • An understanding of TEC and ITO funding applications
  • Experience in developing systems and processes.
  • Experience with online learning systems.
  • Experience in building positive relationships
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A ‘can do – will do’ attitude
  • Full drivers licence

The Hours

This is a full time position consisting of 80 hours per fortnight. This role is Monday to Friday and the hours are 0800 – 1700 however, there may be instances where you are required to work outside of these parameters.  

This role is available immediately.
