- It is your own business , own hours, own fees
- Very keen advanced learners age 6 to 12 or even 14
- In school and in school time, or video conferencing. Curriculum provided.
Why happy? Because the children are very empathetic and cannot take your pain even when you think you are hiding it well?
Why teacher? Must have state registration with clear police check for safety of children in very small group. We work in primary schools and globally online.
Why Gifted? Because the government Inquiry found that they are the most needy and because in general their NAPLAN scores go backwards after Year 3. Why is that? Already know 80% of the work at start of year and learn at 140% of average rate. Double whammy!!. Read the research for yourself if you think this is an exaggeration. WiseOnes program reverses this so much higher NAPLAN results are achieved with happier children.Started in Australia 1997 and NZ in 2017 South Island. Now we want to supply for the North Island also. And Christchurch.
We really care because most of us are parents of gifted children as well as leading teachers or retired school leaders. There is no age limit for this, just an IQ requirement and be very good at what you do.

There is no government funding for the program so parents pay a fee or levy for it about the same as swimming lessons . If you are really good they will come back. Some stay for 24 terms straight. Whole families stay for 24 terms straight. It is how we judge your performance - do they want to come again and again. If they do they get wonderful benefits of an holistic education covering academic, intellectual , moral and social development for a child who is significantly different. And all in an hour a week in their own school.iu benefit too.
