WelTec (Wellington Institute of Technology) has been a leader in technical and trades education for over 100 years and offers programmes in Engineering from Degree to trades.
Your key responsibilities as a tutor will include course delivery, management of resources relating to the learning processes and working as a member of the Electrical/ Electronic Academic team. This role will teach on the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering and the BEng Tech Engineering degree programme, graduate diploma in Engineering and NZ certificate in study and career preparation. This is initially a one year fixed-term position.
WelTec is looking for someone who is keen to pass on their knowledge and has an enthusiasm for learning and education. A strong customer focus with demonstrated ability to be both flexible and professional will be highly regarded. Strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written are required. Relevant New Zealand experience in PLC Programming and electrical/ electronics are required. While a teaching qualification or teaching experience is desirable it is not essential.
You will need a minimum qualification of a degree in an electrical/ electronic discipline to obtain this position.
