About the role

We are currently on the lookout for experienced Marine Engineer's committed to delivering a world class service to our customers. This role is an important aspect to the image of Fullers and is not only responsible for the safe and efficient running of our vessels, both mechanical and electrical, and ensuring all systems are maintained whilst in operation, this role also has a leading hand in the customer experience onboard.

Duties:

  • Lead and influence the customer service experience;
  • High commitment to safety;
  • Provide outstanding customer service;
  • Perform engine start up, running checks and shut down;
  • Preparing gangways;
  • Loading and stowing cargo;
  • Operating onboard crane equipment;
  • Handling lines in all weather conditions;
  • Lead safety on the vessels;
  • Provide training and guidance to our Junior Crew;

Skills and Experience

  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Candidates will have minimum of 12 months marine engineer/deck experience. 
  • To be eligible you must hold a MEC5 qualification as a minimum.
  • Experience on high speed passenger vessels being highly advantageous.
  • Experience in leading a small team on shifts.
  • High level of maturity, and ability to work under pressure.  
  • Have an outstanding attendance record.
  • High standard of appearance.
