A fast paced and expansive operation catering to a high seasonal demand for quality fruit, there is now a requirement for an astute HSPC Coordinator to join the business to drive food compliance and health and safety standards throughout the business.

General Overview:
The Health & Safety Compliance Coordinator will operate with a strong understanding of the supply chain, working across multiple orchard and packaging sites, the role of Health and Safety and Compliance Coordinator is a hands-on and pivotal position for the organisation. Responsible for ensuring all processes comply with customer and regulatory food compliance and quality requirements. You will provide technical support on site and manage the implementation of risk management, health and safety and food compliance or processing standards. You will perform full site audits and review all current processes with a constant focus on improvement and working smarter. You will have the ability to interpret and implement onsite quality assurance programmes.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate solutions to quickly resolve identified operational inefficiencies
- Assists in the development and implementation of food compliance policies
- Enforces policies, procedures, standards about orchard protocols
- Oversees and coordinates annual inspections for growers
- Completes necessary paperwork for various food compliance materials and documents as directed
- Performs data analysis with projections in support of planting requirements for the upcoming year
- Maintaining a positive attitude and not allowing negativity to sway conversations or outcomes
Job Requirements:
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in coordinator or specialist level equivalent role in food production management, quality assurance, supply chain, and procurement
- Demonstrated excellent decision making skills; flexible to changing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional follow-through skills
- Resourcefulness and solution-orientation
- Self-starter with proven organisational and analytical skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Curiosity and desire to learn and take on new challenges
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly proficiency in Excel and database platforms
- Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Have at least 3 years’ experience in a fast paced office/H&S environment
- Having knowledge of orchard and packhouse is helpful
- Exceptional service skills, including excellent written and verbal communication
- Enthusiasm for and commitment to working with local business
