Are you an experienced, analytical FMIS operator who enjoys working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and deliver systems that meet their needs?
The Ministry of Defence has a unique opportunity for a talented individual to join their supportive, collaborative Finance team who continually strive for excellence.
Working at our Ministry is challenging, exciting and highly rewarding. Our diverse team of people provide the Government with civilian advice on defence matters, and also act as the Government's principal civilian advisor on the international strategic defence environment and on our country's interests.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is known as the Finance SME on the system design and development, and is responsible for the efficiency and integrity of the Ministry's Finance System. This role is critical to the Ministry's operational division, who rely on the Senior Systems Accountant to work proactively with them to provide systems which meet the needs of the group, and are simple and easy to use.
Our successful candidate is someone who can combine their knowledge and experience working with TechnologyOne with their ability to engage and influence stakeholders. You'll have an ability to operate the financial systems and solve day-to-day problems and other technical issues. You will also have:
- Skill in developing, designing and implementing financial management tools and processes
- Ability to plan work effectively; shifting between the big picture understanding and maintaining good attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills, ability to undertake financial strategic thinking
- A tertiary and professional qualification or relevant experience in Systems Administration/Accounting
