Our client is looking for an experienced Distribution Line Mechanic to join their tight-knit team based in Tauranga.

The role

Maintaining and constructing electrical distribution networks, our client is experiencing sustained growth and is looking to add to their experienced and established team.

We are seeking a Distribution Line Mechanic, holding EWRB registration and a current practicing licence, with experience in the construction, maintenance, upgrade and repair of distribution networks to join our Tauranga Depot.

You will need to be a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills, be able to cope with the physical demands of the role, have an excellent attendance and safety record and a clean NZ driver's licence. Duties:

• To carry out construction and maintenance of electrical lines in a timely and appropriate
• Install and replace electricity network pole structure, overhead conductors and associated distribution equipment
• Meet customer and regulatory requirements
• Adherence to best practices
• Maintain field paperwork, reports and inspection documentation
• Compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements

Skills and experience:

• EWRB Registration and a current Practicing Licence required
• NZ Cert Electrical Supply Level 4 qualification in Distribution Line Mechanic or Cable Jointing
• Experience with overhead distribution assets
• Experience working on lines up to and including 33kV
• Full New Zealand Class 1 driver's licence (Class 2 licence an advantage)
• Transferable network company competencies an advantage
