We are currently seeking a Sales Merchandiser for our client based in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The successful applicant would be required to build relationships with a variety of key customers and ensure that products appear in an appropriate manner. This will also involve working closely with the purchasing team to plan stock levels and monitor performance.

Working with some well-known bread/milk brands across New Zealand, you will be tasked with travelling and setting up merchandising stores in various supermarkets and businesses across Christchurch to develop and achieve local sales targets.

This role is temporary - part time and applicants must be flexible as you will be required to work on weekdays and on weekends.

Our client has indicated that the working week will consist of 3 or 4 shifts a week and will include 7 to 8 hours of working hours per shift.

The preferred candidate will have,

• Retail Sales experience (in a similar environment)
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)
• An open and friendly demeanor
  

To be considered, you will need to:

• Be physically fit and healthy (some heavy lifting will be required when setting up)
• The confidence to work autonomously
• A reliable car to get to and from various destinations (mileage allowance is provided)
• Have a full Class 1 NZ Driver’s License
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• No driving related or serious convictions
• Have the legal right to work in New Zealand
• Able to provide two work-related references
• Have a full Class 1 NZ Driver’s License
