Your new company
This well-established and well-known private company across New Zealand is looking for a Finance Manager to join the Wellington office. This is a full time, permanent role
Your new role
Financial management and reporting; manage the processing of all contract and other income. Ensure the financial and business related legislative compliances are met including: income tax return, GST, RWT, FBT returns and TAANZ Annual bonding review. Provide timely and robust financial analysis to support business decision-making, develop risk management strategies and processes and have the ability to communicate with “non-accountants”.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed you’ll need to have experience with Xero Accounting, Microsoft word and have intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel. Additionally, you will have the following professional skills:
- Accounting Qualification and working towards Chartered Accountant status
- At least 3-5 years solid experience in an accounting role
- Proven ability with accounting, financial tax requirements (e.g. preparation of tax returns)
- Confident working with Xero Accounting software
- Confident with computers, in particular, working with finance systems/databases and proficient at Excel (essential)
- The ability to communicate accounting processes to “non-accountants”
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work to pressured timeframes
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
