Providing robust financial management advice to the consolidation of business units for this large and diverse public sector department is crucial to the success of this role. Sitting in the Strategic Finance function, working with a group of highly skilled specialists across financial modelling, financial planning & analysis as well as asset and capital investment. You will play a key role in:
- Business partner financial senior leadership team and CFO with a cohesive narrative for the current and projected financial situation.
- Providing management accounting & reporting advice to ensure group consolidated and individual financial's are technically correct.
- Ensuring appropriation allocation align's to actual spend.
- providing quality assurance to ensure financial models and projections meet public sector accounting rules.
As a key role in the strategic finance team, we are looking for a confident and professionally qualified accountant that has proven experience across a number of the key duties listed above. Understanding financial models (not needing to be an expert modeller), having a good knowledge of reporting and strong communications skills are the most important requirements to this role.
