About The Company & The Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Officer to start immediately for a minimum 2-month assignment. The company requires someone who can hit the ground running and work alongside the wider team with processing payroll for 250+ staff timely and accurately. We are looking for a candidate that has experience with all facets of payroll and who can be a bit of an all-rounder. Day to day you will be entering timesheets, managing multiple collectives and the complexities that follow (i.e. allowances, special rates, bonus payments etc.). You will be managing and authorising a weekly and monthly Datacom payroll system with ensuring all payroll deadlines are met.
About You
- Extensive payroll experience, ideally in a payroll environment which includes collective agreement interpretation.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of key pieces of New Zealand legislation such as, the Holidays Act.
- Numeracy and software literacy, ideally with Datacom or another software.
- Advanced Excel user for the use of reporting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- An ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Have proven experience in high volume payroll.
- Be competent, motivated, enthusiastic and comfortable stepping in and just getting on with the work
