We currently have a position available for a FIFO External Service Technician within our Port Hedland branch. In this role, you will need to possess a comprehensive technical ability in hydraulics, with experience in repair on both mobile and fixed plant equipment.
The position requires personnel to work in Port Hedland on a 2 week on and 1 week off roster flying in and out of Perth.
Tasks:
- Read hydraulic drawings and schematics
- Ensure all work produced has been documented accordingly
- Work in team environment with minimal supervision.
- Communicate any job issues promptly as required to ensure issues are dealt with accordingly
- Required to advise any safety issues or suggestions.
- Ensure all HSE procedures are followed and all incidents are reported accordingly
- Ensure calibrated equipment is available and up to date.
- Manage your labour productivity to achieve agreed targets when working on multiple jobs in parallel.
- Ensure quality of finished product.
Position Requirements:
- Trade qualified
- Living locally is an advantage however not required. The FIFO position will be offered to the right candidate.
- Competent level of hydraulic knowledge
- High focus on quality and attention to detail
- Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
