Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services in the water industry. These projects cover South East Queensland across multiple locations.
We are currently sourcing an Electrical & Instrument Maintenance Technician for a casual opportunity in the Beaudesert region. We are looking for a candidate who is dual trade qualified with HV licensing and switching experience in an asset & maintenance environment with a strong commitment to safety. This role is best suited to someone who enjoys working in a team environment and is self-motivated.
This position requires an immediate start.
At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/VISA for this region, in place.
Description
- The provision of electrical/instrumentation services in relation to the operation, maintenance, refurbishment and augmentation of Seqwater’s mechanical and civil assets across water treatment plants, dams and supply systems
- Technical advice and support
- Perform routine asset inspections and maintenance activities in accordance with the relevant job plans and record details of maintenance activities into the asset management system
- Australian Recognised Dual Trade Certificate (Electrical with Instrumentation)
- Queensland Electrical license
- Maintenance and sustaining capital experience, ideally within the utilities or process industry environment
- White card or equivalent
- HV Licensing with HV Switching experience desirable
- Successful candidates must be based within a 50km radius of Beaudesert to be eligible for the role.

- Current Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets
- White card or equivalent
- Based locally
- Current First Aid, LVR&CPR
- Breathing Apparatus and Gas Test Atmosphere tickets are all desirable.
