XDR is seeking two (2) full time hydraulic fitters and one (1) full time mechanical fitter to join our Redbank facility. In addition XDR is also seeking mechanical and hydraulic fitters to work on a part time and short term basis.
Background
XDR established in 2007 and based in Redbank manufactures innovative onshore mobile well servicing equipment for the oil and gas industries. XDR continues to grow and is seeking fitters to assist in the manufacture and servicing of its mobile equipment for its Australian and international customers.
The roles suite qualified fitters with experience working on mobile equipment wanting to become an integral part of the workshop team and growing business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assembly, factory acceptance testing and commissioning of new mobile oil and gas equipment;
- Carrying out hydraulic installation of attachments and sub-assemblies onto mobile equipment (for hydraulic fitters);
- Recording and conducting flow and pressure checks using a flow meter and other test gauges (for hydraulic fitters) during commissioning and factory acceptance testing;
- Assisting in manufacturing prototypes for research and development projects;
- Servicing existing XDR equipment; and
- Working as a valuable team member.
Skills, experience and requirements:
- Trade qualified hydraulic fitter, mechanical fitter or drill fitters;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience;
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems;
- Ability to work unsupervised;
- Own tools;
- Experience working with mobile mining, energy, building or oil and gas equipment is highly regarded.
- Extensive experience in installation, of hydraulic systems and components or mechanical systems and components;
- Diagnostic and fact finding skills;
- Sound reporting and documentation skills;
- Understanding of work place health and safety issues;
- English literacy; and
- Have a manual drivers licence
