About the role
- The Apprentice Boilermaker will assist in ensuring that Toowoomba Regional Council’s assets, both fixed and mobile, are maintained structurally in a safe, cost effective and operational manner. Completion of an apprentice training program leading to qualifications as a Tradesman.
- The Wage Range for this position is $397.53 - $835.00 gross per week plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.4% superannuation.
- This position works a 19 day month.
- Please note this position is located in Toowoomba and will be relocating to the Charlton Depot in early 2020.
How to be successful in this position - Success Criteria
- The mandatory qualifications and licences as outlined in the "Success Criteria" of the Position Description.
- Interest or motivation in completing Boilermaker Apprenticeship.
- Ability to complete theory and practical work modules associated with the Certificate being studied.
- Ability to understand directions and to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to complete daily works records neatly and correctly.
- Understanding of and commitment to Council's Value and Behaviour of Collaboration and Teamwork.
