National Infrastructure Solutions is a well-established top tier Civil Construction company based in Noble Park with an excellent reputation in the industry and a proven track record of successfully delivering telecommunications projects. We provide telecommunications field asset maintenance and infrastructure construction services to Industry leaders including NBN, Telstra and other projects as well as new private network builds.
Due to the constant expansion of our business are seeking self-motivated team members, or an entire crew who is ready to go, bringing with you the right work ethic and ability to work Monday to Friday installing and repairing underground lead-in and network conduits and cables in residential and commercial premises around Metropolitan Melbourne. Your tasks could include: working on the Telstra/NBN underground pit and pipe network, rod & roping, transmission & distribution copper, onsite assessment of blockages and problems, conducting thorough underground asset identification, trenching, boring, pipe laying, asbestos pit replacement and installation/repair of telecommunications conduits, concrete/asphalt breakout and reinstatement. You will undertake photo documentation, JSEA paperwork, some reporting and detailed communication with management. You will able to converse effectively with customers and utilise creative problem-solving solutions when required, working in a team environment.
To be considered we seek the following experience and characteristics:
Essential
- Unwavering adherence to safety standards
- Proven utilities experience - working on the Telstra/NBN network or equivalent (gas or power)
- Construction Induction card (white/red card)
- Medium rigid licence, Manual drivers licence
- Ability to problem solve and manage your workload efficiently
- High work ethic and a 'can do' attitude
Preferred, not essential
- Current Pit and Pipe training
- Concrete/asphalt reinstatement experience
- Heavy rigid licence
- Asbestos training and experience
- Traffic management experience
- First aid/CPR training
