We currently have a vacancy for a highly motivated and qualified HAAS CNC Mill and Lathe operator to join our team. This is an opportunity to work in a small team environment where your contribution will be highly valued and rewarded.

Salary based on experience of up to $85K plus superannuation.

Hours of work will be 45-hours per week, operating from 9am to 6:30pm Monday through Thursday and 6:30 to 4pm Friday.

Duties:

• Setup and operate CNC machines including HAAS Lathe and Mills - experience with HAAS controller required.
• Meet performance standards and production targets
• Maintain a clean work area
• Adjusts tools and replace as needed
• Perform daily maintenance of machines as required
• Perform necessary operations during machine cycle time as required (e.g. de burring, assembly etc)
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities:

• Trade level experienced CNC operator – CNC set-up and operation experience required
• HAAS control experience required
• Experience with CAM programs desirable
• Excellent reliability and work ethic
• Ability to perform operations under minimum supervision and consistently maintain the performance levels set for quality and quantity
• Good interpersonal, written and oral communication
• Ability to plan effectively and execute the plans in a timely manner
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Cat A&B Firearms safety certificate preferred or willing to obtain.
