Patheon Biologics- part of ThermoFisher Scientific are seeking two (2) self-motivated and energetic full time MBP Scientists to join our innovative and exciting manufacturing facility in Woollongabba, Brisbane. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Support Manager your main responsibilities will include:
- Execution of several unit operations associated with their department in accordance with the applicable production protocols and planning schedules, in a clean room environment under cGMP conditions.
- Perform equipment testing, troubleshooting and execute validation protocols.
- Assist with the on-time closure of Deviation Reports, Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs) and Change Controls.
- Support and Implementation of new procedures and/or equipment in the OPS department in consultation with other owners and users.
- Revise and writes documentation such as SOPS and ACFS. Assisting in the completion and identification of lean (OE) initiatives and continuous improvements.
- Preparation of buffers, media, bioreactor and cell culture sampling, in-process testing, assembling, preparing, operating and cleaning of the equipment used in the large-scale manufacture and downstream purification of biopharmaceuticals.
Experience & Qualifications
- Tertiary education in Science or Engineering based field (i.e. biopharmaceuticals manufacture, biotechnology, process technology), or equivalent experience.
- Sound knowledge and experience working in a cGMP environment, attention to detail and GMP recording.
- Experience in dispensing of raw materials, preparation of media buffer solutions (multiple 1000 L batches per day), manifold preparation and autoclaving, filter integrity testing.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in the bio (pharmaceutical) fields, desirable.
