Our Client

Our client is a small private food research and development company located in the Southern Highlands NSW town of Bowral. They are involved in innovation new and novel food products and processes for licensing to the food industry world-wide.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Food Technology or Food Science
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in R&D, NPD or similar role.
• Sound product development skills.
• Strong knowledge of food chemistry and technology, sensory, microbiology, process engineering through previous experience.
• Ability to work in a small group and also autonomously is valued.

Duties

• Reports to R&D Director.
• 3 days per week.
• Assist in the design of experiments and carry out experimental procedures.
• Observe, accurately record results and maintain records including setting up and managing storage trials.
• Conducting bench scale and commercial trials and shelf life testing.
• Work with ingredient suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Undertake analyses, sample preparation and supply and product specifications.
• Assist in Technology Transfer.  

Remuneration and Location

This is a prorated salary package depending on experience. This is a 3 day a week role.
