The vacant postdoctoral research position seeks applicants in the field of plant root biology and plant biochemistry. The aim of the project is to decipher the function of plant-root microbe interactions in nutrient and water uptake and abiotic stress response and adaptation using biochemical and cell biology approaches, including microscopy, transcriptomics and metabolomics. The responsibility of this position is to develop and apply molecular, imaging and biochemical approaches to understand how roots and beneficial microbes interact in order to enhance nutrient and water uptake under challenging environmental conditions.
