Your new company
A local government organisation located near the Melbourne CBD is seeking a Senior Property Advisor to work in a property team. This local municipality has a strong desire to serve the community as well as an interesting property portfolio including various commercial and residential properties.
Your new role
You will be expected to
- work as part of a team in managing property, including leases and licences, sales and acquisitions
- negotiate new leases and licences within legislative, cost and time constraints
- provide property advice, prepare reports and complete property inspections
- provide strategic property advice to council
- communicate with user groups and tenants
- assist in gathering information for construction projects
- provide advice to council on property conditions and plans
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong communication skills are fundamental to ensure the effective management of both internal and external relationships.
- Experience in local council or state government is highly regarded.
- You will need to demonstrate knowledge and application of legislative requirements related to property leasing, licensing, sales and acquisitions.
- Tertiary qualification in a property or property related field is advantageous.
- Understand strategic property planning and the current property market
