The Role: 

The Operations Manager of Hard Services will be responsible for the development and implementation of Hard Services across a key government portfolio.

The Manager will review and adapt best practices in relation to procedures for managing Project Transition, Engineering Maintenance and Project Management services.

An integral part of the position is to work closely with the General Manager and the Commercial team to ensure that all financial aspects are accurate, timely and provide consistent information for the Client.

This role will lead a team of five and be a primary point of contact for the key client stakeholder as well as key internal stakeholders.

 

To be successful in this role, you must be an Australian Citizen for security clearances.

 

  • Manage the overall program for delivery of contracted hard service
  • Provide lifecycle and cyclical asset maintenance modelling, costing and analysis to the client
  • Management of sub-contractors to deliver both Scheduled Maintenance and Responsive Maintenance functions
  • Ensure compliance for audits and insurance across the portfolio
  • Financial review and analysis of trends to identify operating cost improvements and reductions
  • Provide technical support on building services to the Services Operations Manager and FM team as required

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in the Facilities Management Services, Infrastructure, Industrial and or Engineering
  • Experienced in managing significant projects from a technical aspect
  • Proven experience in managing all financial aspects of FM management including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Experience in the leadership, management and mentoring of staff
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated business planning, developing and presenting budgets.
  • Superior ability in effective relationship management with internal and external clients alike
