This is a unique role new to Perth. It will underpin a Construction Partner as part of a thriving complex commercial litigation team. This is a three partner commercial litigation structure with one specialised in C&E disputes. You will straddle both the C&E disputes partner as well as one of the commercial litigation partners that is advanced in the resources sector as well as holding a strong pro-bono profile in Perth.
Combination of adjudication, arbitration, disputes. Strong trial activity with Supreme Court breeches and currently some garnishment matters. A large piece the role this year will be focused on a highly sensitive piece of litigation for a major client that the market will see as a matter of interest in the sector. The two partners are also strong in strategic dispute management for leading resources groups so you will be strongly exposed to effective roll out of various dispute strategies.
If you enjoy variety of disputes and a genuine commitment to the pro-bono delivery then you will enjoy this opportunity. Excellent leadership. This group believes in understudying their associates at appropriate times to allow them the front-line skill development and client contact that is needed to create advanced commercial litigators. Criteria:
- Bachelor of Laws, strong academics
- Minimum 3 years PAE –Construction disputes focused
- Good exposure to trial, Supreme Court activity
