We are representing one of the best known life insurance brands in Australia. We are recruiting a role within the resinurance team.
After a recent restructure this organisation has developed a sharper reinsurance team. The organisation operates both as a reinsurer and in a direct capacity. The change in structure has come about due to the organisations focus on implementing more robust processes and procedures around the way they manage reinsurance.
As a result of this change, we are recruiting for a Senior Reinsurance Analyst. The role will be responsible for the following:
- Looking at the reinsurance data, making sense of what it all means and putting processes in place to better track the data;
- Off the back of the above, creating reports that can be used across the business to easily and transparently display the data;
- Working with a range of stakeholders (internally and externally) in relation to the reinsurance arrangements (new and existing).
At the core this role is a combination of technical, analytical, process improvement, and stakeholder management. Previous experience working in pricing or the actuarial space will be very well received. We are open to individuals from a reinsurance background also - you will need to have experience working with numbers and data. An aptitude and desire to engage with people is also a requirement for this role.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to build their network and engage with a range of stakeholders across the business and (external) reinsurers. Furthermore, for someone who enjoys working with and making sense of data, this role offers ownership of the data, the processes around making sense of the data, and the creation of reporting. You will be the subject matter expert in the business in regards to reinsurance.
Given this role brings you in contact with a range of departments internally, there is scope for progression across a number of areas within the business. Interacting with a range of businesses (primarily reinsurers) externally gives you the option to build and develop a network, opening up the door to options in the wider reinsurance world also.
