The Opportunity

Reporting to the Claims Manager, the primary duties of this role include:

• Managing your own portfolio of mental health and complex medical claims from injured workers across a variety of industries.
• Developing and implementing injury management plans on all significant claims
• Interpreting medical reports and approving/declining medical treatment
• Liaising with medical treatment providers and negotiating positive return to work plans for all injured workers
• Facilitating case conferences with nominating doctors and Rehab providers
• Processing wage payments
• Liaising with legal parties on more complex claims

About You:

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following:

• Previous experience in a Nursing, Rehabilitation or Mental Health role (Other medical backgrounds will also be considered)
• Strong desire to achieve positive return to work outcomes and achieve a good result for all stakeholders involved
• Excellent negotiation skills and communicational skills
• A high degree of empathy and the ability to deal with complex medical and/or mental health issues
