About the role


An opportunity has arisen to facilitate the claims experience for our REST members within our insurance team. This role requires excellent professional communication and customer service skills to support effective resolution of claims within REST.  

Key responsibilities 

• Provide superior customer service to members, the trustee and stakeholders by managing and processing requests within agreed time-frames and quality levels.
• Proactively follow up receipt of claim documentation with members and, as required, provide quality advice and assistance to members in the completion of their forms.
• Provide members with courteous, prompt and sensitive service and updates on their claims.
• Action designated inbound member and insurer email correspondence within required SLAs.
• Update member status and insurance-related details in appropriate systems.
• Contribute positively and collaboratively to the team’s overall objective to achieve an end-to-end life cycle for every claim that meets or exceeds the fund’s service expectations.
• Ensure compliance with all legislative, financial, policy, procedural and quality requirements.
• Liaise with insurers and third parties to finalise additional insurance coverage as requested by members. 
• Investigate and respond to insurance enquiries and complaints within a timely manner.

About you

• 12 month’s experience within an Insurance environment 
• Strong customer service focus 
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal correspondence
• Good problem solving abilities and technical expertise
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent relationship building skills to address and respond to member and client requests
• Generate creative solutions to address problems and commit to follow through
• Tertiary qualifications in related field
