We are a progressive company with a real commitment to looking after our people and we are seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced claims professional to join our team in Perth who is motivated, "switched on" with a “can do” attitude.  You will be required to manage and advocate on claims issues for our clients, predominantly in Public Liability and Property.  Duties will include implementing the group claims strategy, providing claims advocacy for our clients, effectively managing relationships with underwriters, brokers and clients to deliver the best results for clients, overseeing claims service delivery, analysis of claims.

To be considered for this role, the successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Be client focused;
  • General Insurance background (specifically in managing claims, ideally property and liability claims
  • Thorough understanding of and ability to communicate specifics of policies and contracts;
  • Proven ability to provide consultative & expert advice in claims management;
  • Comprehensive and up-to-date technical knowledge with practical experience in handling of complex claims;
  • Strong communication (verbal & written), numerical, presentation & organisational skills are essential;
  • Ability to negotiate and influence positive outcomes in favour of our clients;
  • Be self-motivated and organised with the ability to work effectively as part of a team or on individually-assigned tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where superior time-management and prioritisation skills are essential;
  • Project and time management skills (ability to manage simultaneously a large number of competing priorities);
  • Strategic thinker;
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel & other (Microsoft Office) systems;
