The Radisson Blu Plaza Sydney is a 364 room, five star classic hotel located in the financial and dining hub of the northern CBD. We underwent a refurbishment of all rooms recently and enjoy high levels of repeat clientele who enjoy our personalised customer service. We're located between Sydney's best shopping and Circular Quay with many major corporate offices close by.
The role
To cover all aspects of Concierge our porters rotate through various duties on their shifts. They are responsible for ensuring that all guest’s bags are delivered or retrieved from their rooms in a timely manner; that any guest questions or queries regarding surrounding areas, directions, tourist information, restaurants and Sydney attractions are answered professionally and knowledgably; that guest cars are parked and retrieved promptly and above all that any requests are handled with our "Yes I Can" spirit.
About you
As a porter in our Concierge Department you take on the responsibility of 100% guest satisfaction and our highly professional team take pride in their "can do" attitude in ensuring that all guests are treated as VIP's.
To be successful in this role you will require:
· Full driver’s licence and the ability to drive a manual car
· Outstanding communication skills in English
· Knowledge of Sydney and surroundings
· Experience in a customer service environment
· Ability to work on a rotating roster - AM, PM and overnights for occasional assistance with leave coverage
Support
You will be supported by our experienced Chief Concierge and his team. A Departmental Trainer will look after your initial training and you will also attend our 2 day Orientation program. After passing your 90 day training period you will be invited to experience a complimentary guest stay.
Good to know
This role will require the ability to work a 7-day rotating roster and flexibility with your availability and shifts. Our hotel is located close to Wynyard station, and we offer free maintained uniforms, $3 meals in our staff cafeteria and global hotel discounts.
