About the business and the role:
We require a hospitality professional for the management of our fully staffed property in Warwick Queensland. You will have overall responsibility for managing the commercial and operational strategy and performance of our flagship property. This role acts as the main host of the property ensuring consistent and exceptional guest service delivery. You will have a genuine passion for food, wine and a current indepth understanding of the hospitality industry.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Providing reception and reservation duties for 3 shifts per week and or as when required
- Building a strong relationship with all stakeholders including, guests, team members, clients, local community and industry professionals
- Leading the design and deployment of exceptional and consistent guest services by supporting and developing all in-house teams
- Ensuring relevant regulatory compliance across all departments
- Developing a sales culture, identifying market opportunities and driving business growth
- Implementing strategies to support business development via yield and revenue management, OTA's, negotiated rates and contracts
- Ensuring operational budgets are in place and maintained
- Collating and analysing revenue generation in order to identify critical areas for revenue enhancement inc. COGs
- Driving sales activity to optimise commercial performance
- Ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of property financials and operations
- Ensure the property is maintained the its optimum
Skills and experience:
The person we are seeking for the role will have at least 3 years managerial experience within the accommodation/motel sector.
You must have proven experience in all round short term accommodation operations, be a strong people manager, have strong analytical skills, solid financial experience, and effective relationship management skills to inspire confidence across multiple stakeholder groups.
Recent PMS and POS experience is required, as is current experience with OTA's and channel managers. We run RoomMaster, Siteminder and Taskmanager.
You will have exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with very strong verbal and written language. You will also demonstrate outstanding time management, organisational skills and have a high degree of professionalism.
The position is hands on with you needing to cover any sick leave shifts of the fulltime reception team. Your ability to provide the occasional room service breakfast cooking on public holidays would be looked upon favourably.
You will have RMLV and Approved Manager Status from the Queensland Liquor Licensing Department (or be prepared to obtain same).
