We are looking for a Conference & Events Sales Manager to lead our Conference & Events team on a fixed term basis from mid August 2018 to April 2019. Our team is small but we deliver BIG, and we do it with pride and a whole lot of energy. A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Secure relationships with corporate event bookers & professional event organisers
  • Ensure the hotel is maximising revenue through effective pricing, space management and conversion
  • Working closely with clients to determine their meeting and event needs
  • Increase total revenue of conference, residential & group business
  • Pitch to new clients including chasing cold and warm leads
  • Establish strong relationships and manage a portfolio of business events accounts to maximise sales and loyalty
  • Showcase the hotel through site inspections and property famils
  • Host client events aimed at promoting and cross-selling the Hotel
  • Lead a team of two conference & events sales coordinators to exceed targets
  • Drive upselling with an innovative approach to clients
  • Financial management, forecasting and reporting
 
ABOUT YOU:
  • 2 years’ experience as conference sales executive or previous experience as a conference sales manager
  • Knowledge of OPERA Sales & Marketing systems (desirable, but not essential)
  • Offer outstanding service by providing the real deal to clients
  • Strong administration and coordination skills, especially in regards to deadline
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and great customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner
  • A friendly, outgoing personality and a high standard of personal presentation
