The Venue

Situated in Sydney’s West this is a very cool venue. It is a big, busy, community pub with multiple bars and a pumping bistro. It’s a highly-rated and loved locals venue that is focused on providing good quality, delicious pub food to their guests.

This is the flagship venue for a very successful and progressive pub group who put a big focus on building a supportive and enjoyable culture throughout all their businesses. We love working with this company.
 
The Kitchen

This is a big role and requires someone used to keeping a calm and level head when the pressure is on. Producing food for the bistro and functions from one large kitchen you will not only be overseeing your team but you will be hands-on, cooking and on the pass ensuring efficient and consistent services.

This venue is a 7-day operation, with Fri-Sunday being the busiest times. It's a team of 17 and the majority of the senior chefs are very stable and can offer that extra forte in the kitchen. The food that comes out of the kitchen is basically good pub classics with a bit of an American Twist.

Required Experience 

We are looking for someone to bring a little more fun and direction in the kitchen to match the energy of the Venue. Someone who is naturally a people person and enjoys mentoring a team. Someone who loves cooking, keeping up with the trends and experimenting in the kitchen.

What the client is looking for is:

• Someone who has experience in large volume venues.  
• Knows how to build rapport and create a positive culture in the kitchen. 
• Good at putting systems and structures into place 
• Good leader and knows how to mentor staff. 
• Likes being hands-on and getting amongst it in the kitchen. 

The salary on offer is up to $100K for the right candidate, working 50-55 hours on average.
